Apparently solar swimsuits are going to be the next big thing. Earlier, we featured the iDrink solar bikini that could deliver 5volts by USB to let you groove to tunes on your iPod and never run out of electricity. Now, the latest offering by swimwear manufacturer Triumph and photovoltaic cell manufacturer Conergy is a Solar Swimsuit. The unique beachwear entrenches solar panels on the front to harness sufficient solar power to charge small gadgets, such as an iPod or cellphone. The solar swimsuit was shown to the public at the America’s Cup in Valencia by Spanish swimming champion Gemma Mengual. We don’t have any idea of the pricing of the solar powered swimsuit but it will probably be launched as a part of the company’s 2007 collection.
