AskMen.com asked it's readers to name the woman they would most like to have as a girlfriend or wife. Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port were the lucky Hills / City girls who made the cut. Emmanuel Chriqui topped the list.
No. 35 Audrina Patridge
"I am honored to be in the company of such amazing, dynamic ladies! Thanks to all the guys who nominated me."
Survivor may have been the show that made us all question whether ordinary people were the new famous people and if, in fact, the future of television was ultimately doomed to eternal back-to-back episodes of watching regular people doing ridiculous things, but it was The Hills that turned that idea on its head. We’re still not exactly sure how the ripped abs that belong to Audrina Patridge found their way onto a show that follows the lives of rich kids living in the Hollywood Hills dealing with rich kid problems like, “Should I put these Jimmy Choos on my Visa or MasterCard?” Rumor has it, however, that Patridge was plucked by producers while sunbathing poolside -- producers who saw insta-best friend potential in her for The Hills protagonist Lauren Conrad. Now that we finally understand that reality TV is virtually a script with merely dialogue suggestions for the memory-impaired, we have accepted that Audrina Patridge might just be the best thing to come out of a TV era in which watching rich kids shop and poor people eating cow eyeballs for cold cash is prime-time material. Next up for Audrina is her very own reality show, The Audrina Show, set to launch in 2010. Will it make you laugh? Cry? Unearth that epiphany that’s been boiling in your brain since your teens? Maybe. But if you like hot girls who look good in bikinis, it’s worth a look. What else are you going to watch, Survivor?

No. 81 Whitney Port
Whitney Port may have risen to reality TV stardom opposite Lauren Conrad on The Hills, but it wasn’t until she was offered the chance to have her own MTV reality show, a spin-off entitled The City, that she earned serious respect from the few AskMen.com employees willing to admit that they actually watch MTV reality shows. The series revolved around Port’s efforts to move from her hometown of Los Angeles to New York City to take on a job at the prestigious fashion label Diane von Furstenberg. Although she quit her job at Diane von Furstenberg in April 2009, Port has busied herself and earned the respect of industry insiders with the creation of her own fashion line called Whitney Eve. The City has been picked up for another season but, more importantly, it looks like Whitney Port’s career in fashion has many more seasons to come.
