Christina Aguilera: New Chapter In The New Year
Christina Aguilera, who just turned 30, is ready for a fresh start – and what better way to celebrate than with a big bash for her family and friends?
The singer and Burlesque star threw a party at her Beverly Hills home on New Year's Eve, with 175 guests, including her new man Matt Rutler and celeb pals and newlyweds Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.
Aguilera – who toasted the New Year with a custom bottle of Moët champagne with her name engraved on it – wowed the crowd in a silver sequin Herve Leger dress and jeweled Christian Louboutin heels. "She was so excited!" a guest tells PEOPLE. "She was all smiles all night and really relaxed. She's had a tough year, but she looked genuinely happy."
Indeed, the singer recently confided her anticipation of the event in an interview with PEOPLE. "This party is all about counting down to the new chapter of my life," she said. "I'll be surrounded by friends and family who care and love me to death."
With the party and the kick off of 2011, she's closing the book on a difficult year in which she filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman.
"It's really a time for me to look forward to the next chapter in my life," Aguilera added. "I couldn't think of a better way to bring in the New Year [than with a party]."
The event was also about good old-fashioned fun, and featured a Tarot card reader, a photo booth, three bars, a dance floor and deejay and a sushi bar. After midnight, mini egg McMuffins were served as the first breakfast of 2011.
As for hitting the big 3-0, Aguilera says she has no worries on growing older.
"Everything is exciting right now," she says. "I'm an actress and I'm a single mom. I'm entering my thirties. I'm looking at this as an exciting new chapter in my life."
If the eve of the New Year is anything to go by, she's looking at a good year ahead, according to one guest. "At midnight, she got up on stage and thanked everyone for coming. She told everyone how excited she was about the new year, and how normally New Year's Eve parties are usually a disappointment, but this year she wanted all her friends to have a really fun night. And it was! It was a great party."

Karissa & Kristina Shannon's 21st Birthday Bash
Making for quite the reason to celebrate, twin sisters Karissa and Kristina Shannon rang in their shared 21st birthday with a booze-fueled party in New York City on Friday night (October 1).
The Playboy beauties - who turned 21 at midnight - first went to dinner at Via De Mille restaurant in SoHo before heading to their very own party at Greenhouse nightclub.
Definitely not a PG affair, Kristina was going wild as she danced around barefoot while drinking straight from the bottle alongside her sis.
Meanwhile, Karissa looked delighted as she unwrapped a gift from her boyfriend Sam Jones III - as her man doted her with a pair of Christian Louboutins which cost a cool $1495.

BUY IT: Audrina Patridge's Chain Espadrilles
If a Chanel shoe and a Christian Louboutin shoe had a baby in the form of an espadrille, it would be this.
I was super jealous when I saw Audrina Patridge wearing the Christian Louboutin chain espadrille on the red carpet of her 25th birthday party in Las Vegas. It's a spring/summer style staple. I want it and need to have it; however, it's completely out of the budget. A summer shoe for $650? Are you nuts?
Low and behold this replica from Bebe - the Thea Chain Espadrille for only $129; and it's hot!

Stephanie Pratt: My 5 Favorite Red Carpet Looks
The Hills' Stephanie Pratt has come a long way from her first red carpet, but that didn't stop her from looking back at five of her favorite looks with Usmagazine.com.
She admits that she "didn't know how to dress" back when she made an appearance at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood party in L.A. in April 2008, which was "the first red carpet I ever walked."
But it wasn't the polka-dot Betsey Johnson dress or her very first pair of Christian Louboutin heels that made this fashion milestone memorable for her. It was her older brother, Spencer Pratt -- and his temper. "I posed with Lauren [Conrad] and Lo [Bosworth], and it was in Us Weekly," she tells Us. "And Spencer lost his mind."
A year later, at a party in April 2009, she wore her same pair of Louboutins along with an ABS dress that even her tailor told her was too short. "I was like, 'I'm not your daughter -- cut it to there,'" she jokes.
Pratt assures Us that her style has evolved over the past two years. Case in point? Her look at this year's MTV Video Music Awards in NYC.
"I freakin' loved this outfit," she says of her dress by Julia Clancy with vintage YSL bracelets and Vialis shoes. "I was just in the mood to be glitterati, and I think that's when you look the best... When you really dress how you feel."
