Heidi Montag's Mom Just Wants Some Respect

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/spl43801_004.jpgHeidi Montag's estranged mother Darlene Egelhoff has blasted her daughter in a new post on her self-titled blog, telling her: “It's time you showed a little respect!”

Egelhoff wrote she'd "decided to leave Heidi out of my blog because I had heard second hand she was accusing me of 'using her.'" But mom says she believes her blog posts actually are benefiting Heidi “and if anything helping her image.”

Last month, Heidi’s husband Spencer Pratt labeled Egelhoff a “hypocrite” who was just interested in trying to piggyback off her daughter's fame.

In her response, Egelhoff tore into her daughter over their year-long estrangement.

"Heidi was so unbelievably cute and such an equal part of our family, all but the last year, that without her our history is incomplete," her mother wrote.

"She is a part of our family whether she acts like it at this time or not. If you don't like it Heids, call me, lets work it out, otherwise too bad.

"I'm the mother; it’s time you showed a little respect.

“I have made mistakes but none that warrant completely shunning your entire family as a result. If you want to receive grace you must give grace."

Pratt has insisted Egelhoff is insincere in her public attempts at reconciliation with Heidi.

"If I [needed] an acting coach, I would go to Darlene," Pratt said, adding she can cry on cue "like she's Julia Roberts!”

Heidi Montag's Mom Mocks Daugter's Lifestyle

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/spl43801004.jpgHeidi Montag’s mom, Darlene Egelhoff, has scoffed at her famous daughter’s love of five star hotels and spas on her website.

Egelhoff – who is currently working as a maid to help make ends meet after being forced to close her family run restaurant– made the observation on the latest entry on her blog.

The mother and daughter have had a strained relationship in recent years but that hasn’t stopped Egelhoff from posting childhood photographs of her family and talking about them openly.

The 47-year-old mother-of-three writes honestly in her “Metamorphosis of a Mother” blog about her life and struggles while residing in Colorado.

In the latest entry entitled “Time Stands Still,” Egelhoff writes of a dream she has of taking a remote outdoor trip with her three children Sky, Heidi and Holly.

She writes: “I allow my memories to come alive; I imagine Sky is wound up, lit, doing anything possible for Holly’s attention.

“Holly is laughing hysterically at everything he does, not wanting to get caught enjoying herself as she professes to hate these trips.

“Eventually she will be able to convince Heidi to do the same, preferring to sleep in five star Hotels with all inclusive spas as opposed to the dirt, I still don’t get it, I prefer the experience and solitude that comes with the dirt.”

Heidi Montag's Mom: I Can't Pay My Bills

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2010/news/100510/heidi-montag-320.jpgIt's been a year of challenges for Heidi Montag's mom Darlene Egelhoff.

Aside from her estranged relationship with Montag since February, the mother of three and her husband, Tim, also now face an immense financial hurdle.

Timberlines, a popular restaurant featured on The Hills and owned by Egelhoff and her husband in Montag's hometown of Crested Butte, Colo., recently went out of business after a 21-year run.

"We're a tourist town, so our business department was dependent on the economy," Egelhoff tells PEOPLE. "Business started declining. We tried to make the necessary adjustments, but we were just not quite in time. We were forced to close because of the economy."

Egelhoff admits her family hit such a financial low that, at the end of last year, she even borrowed money from Montag.

"The restaurant was struggling, and I was crying on the phone," Egelhoff recounts. "I fought it for so long, but finally, I said, 'Tax guys are on the way. It's $8,000.' Heidi very generously wired me a check that day. That kept the restaurant afloat for at least six months. It was so generous and helpful."

Egelhoff has now gone from owning a restaurant and making appearances on The Hills to cleaning houses for a living.

"The work is sporadic and competitive," Egelhoff says. "My work is not enough to pay the bills. We need other work immediately. [My son] Sky is eligible for free lunch at school and is proud to take advantage of it."

But despite the hardships she and her family have recently faced, Egelhoff maintains a positive outlook on life and on the possibility of rekindling the close bond she once shared with her youngest daughter.

"I have no regrets in life," she says. "I feel like God makes all things for good, and the most difficult situations we go through in life are opportunities. That's when we build character and strength – during difficult times."

Heidi: I've Had "Ups and Downs" With My Body

http://www.usmagazine.com/uploads/assets/articles/36686-heidi-and-spencer-hit-first-red-carpet-since-faux-split/1288534731_heidi-spencer-blog.jpg
Reunited spouses Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt packed on the PDA in Las Vegas on Saturday, where Montag, 24, hosted Pure nightclub's Halloween Haunt. Pratt, 26, dressed as a Close-Encounters-style alien; Montag skipped a costume, but showed off her surgically-enhanced curves in a gold mini-dress.

"I'm Heidi Montag for Halloween," she told reporters on the red carpet. "I designed my own dress."

How does Montag feel about her body (she famously had 10 procedures done in one day) these days? "Um, ups and downs!" she said. "I'm good. I'm just trying to focus on other things, not focus so much on my body."

A lot has happened since then. The Hills, the MTV reality show that made them stars, aired its final episode. And over the summer, the pair (who married in April 2009) separated, filed for divorce and then reunited.

Montag gushed on the red carpet that, this time around, she's "enjoying our relationship. I had so much going on [before, I didn't have a chance to enjoy being a newlywed."

One thing that's definitely real: Montag's sad isolation from most of her friends and family. Her mom Darlene Egelhoff hasn't seen her daughter in nine months, and is now working as a maid in Crested Butte, Colo. to make ends meet.

Egelhoff -- who loudly objected to Heidi's surgery and her husband Pratt -- admitted to Inside Edition that it's awkward when folks now recognize her from The Hills.

"That's very humbling for me and I very much appreciate that experience because I don’t ever want to get full of myself and think I’m too good to do anything."

Heidi Montag's Mom Now Works as a Maid

Darlene Egelhoff, who famously disapproved of daughter Heidi Montag's drastic plastic surgery, has fallen on hard times.

Struggling to make ends meet since her restaurant closed after 21 years, Egelhoff now cleans houses as a maid in her native Crested Butte, Colo., she tells Inside Edition Thursday.

Egelhoff admits that some of her new employers recognize her from The Hills. "That's very humbling for me and I very much appreciate that experience because I don’t ever want to get full of myself and think I’m too good to do anything," she says.

The reality mom -- who constantly butted heads with Montag's husband Spencer Pratt -- says her famous daughter, 24, has no idea about her financial troubles. She and Heidi haven't spoken in nine months -- when Heidi debuted her new face and body in a tense visit to Crested Butte shown on The Hills.

In a desperate attempt to get back in contact with Heidi, Egelhoff has even launched a personal blog, Metamorphosis of a Mother, in the hopes of Montag reading it.

Dad: Spencer Pratt Isn't a Bad Influence on Heidi

Spencer Pratt recently declared that he doesn't allow his wife, Heidi, to watch TV or go online.

Still, Heidi's dad, Bill Montag, tells UsMagazine.com he doesn't think Spencer, 26, is a bad influence on his daughter, 23.

"Heidi is such a strong-willed individual that I don't think that Spencer is going to manipulate her," he says. "Also I think she knows, and so does Spencer: if I thought my daughter was in any harm's way with Spencer, I would be there."

Still, he's "very worried" about Heidi, who ceased communication with her father, 63, in March and changed her phone number "so I can't even reach her," he says.

"I think that they'll realize... there are people that love them and care for them and friends and family," he says. "I pray for them to find peace and happiness. They're not going to find it in crystals and light and all this stuff I've read about."

Montag says he feels like he "let her down" because he wasn't aware she was unhappy enough to change her appearance so drastically.

But he says he he stands behind his daughter's decision to alter her looks.

"We don't always approve of everything our children do, but we support them and we're there for them," he says. "She doesn't need a lecture about the whole thing. I'm not sure she's 100 percent happy with what she did or not. I don't know. But the only thing I can say is we're there and we're her family. She and I were very close before this whole thing happened."

Meanwhile, the Pratts are also giving the silent treatment to another relative: Spencer's grandma, "Nana," who made frequent appearances during The Hills' fourth season.

"They would send a limo and treat her like a queen," Montag says. "Now, they're not there at all."

Heidi Montag's Father Begs Her To Call Home

Heidi Montag’s father Bill Montag is distraught that the reality star has yet to reach out to her family after calling the cops on her mom. In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Bill revealed that Heidi continues to isolate herself from her family.

“I still have not heard from Heidi and I don’t think she has contacted her mom either," Bill said. “Obviously, we are really concerned because we just do not know what is going on with her and Spencer right now."

He had hoped that The Hills star would reach out and reassure him about her well-being after the police were dramatically called out to the Pacific Palisades home that she shares with husband Spencer Pratt.

The reality couple was reportedly furious that Heidi’s mom, Darlene Egelhoff, showed up at their house uninvited to see how her daughter was doing.

“We appreciate that people are concerned about our daughter and my message to Heidi right now is: Just pick-up the phone because I’m waiting for your call,” he said.

The $7,000 a month Pacific Palisades home that she shares with Pratt has dark cloth covers over the windows to block out the light while Spencer has become paranoid that the couple is being constantly watched by mysterious helicopters. Spencer has also stock-piled a number of guns inside the house and they now also have a personal bodyguard ex-Marine, Paul “Cougar” Zank, watching over them.

Heidi Montag Is Alienating Her Family, Says Dad

Heidi Montag’s father Bill Montag spoke to RadarOnline.com shortly after she called the cops on her mom Darlene Egelhoff and revealed his fears for his daughter's future.

Bill– who has not spoken to Heidi since his birthday in March– is worried about her welfare and could not believe that either Heidi or her husband Spencer Pratt refused to speak with his ex-wife. The Colorado rancher believes that his daughter is currently living a life that is pushing her family further and further away.

“Why would they call the police on Heidi’s mom, she is not a threat, it makes absolutely no sense, they need to show more respect," he told RadarOnline.com. “My daughter used to phone me several times a week but we have not spoken since my birthday."

Bill spoke with Darlene about her going to Los Angeles "to do some filming for [The Hills]" and "to find out exactly what was happening with our daughter."

Bill is perplexed by Heidi's decisions, especially because they are widening rifts between her and her family. “Heidi is my baby and I love her but I don’t understand what is happening right now. It is not normal behavior.

“Family is very important because this fame thing will not last forever so she should not push us away because we will always love her. Darlene is Heidi’s mom so whatever issues they might have they need to talk about them and not call the police, that’s just ridiculous.

“I am concerned about my daughter’s welfare right now because I love her and don’t really know what is going-on with her and Spencer.”

Heidi Montag Calls Police On Her Own Mother!

Cops have just arrived to Heidi Montag's L.A. home after she called police claiming her mother is refusing to leave their property.

We just spoke with Heidi, who said, "My mom just showed up to the house unannounced and after what she did to me on national TV, I have no desire to see her."

Heidi tells us she immediately notified her personal security team when her mom showed up "pounding on the door."

Montag continues, "Her showing up is completely out of line and psychotic. I’m getting a restraining order against her."

UPDATE: "Officers arrived on the scene and advised the mother that since her daughter's an adult, she doesn't have to speak to [the mom] if she doesn't want to," Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Leffew tells PEOPLE. "The mother said 'fine, no problem' and left. There were no citations or arrests."

And Montag says this isn't the end of all the drama. "I made it very clear that I want nothing to do with her in my life right now," she tells PEOPLE.

Continues Montag: "I'm sick to my stomach she would even do something like this. She needs to stay away from me. I’m planning on getting a restraining order against her."

Calls to Egelhoff were not immediately returned.

Even Brody Jenner Thinks Spencer Is Nuts

Back in 2005, the world was introduced to Spencer Pratt as the "manager/publicist/agent/stylist" to Brody Jenner on the short-lived reality show The Princes of Malibu and later on The Hills. But these days, even Jenner seems a bit at a loss as to what's going with Pratt.

In an interview on the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning radio show Wednesday, Jenner said simply, "I actually think [Spencer's] kind of lost it a little bit." Continues Jenner: "Lately, it's hard for me -- even as someone who used to be best friends with him -- to see what's real and what's not as far as he goes... I see he wants attention."

The interview comes as this week's US Weekly hits the stands with a cover story claiming that Pratt has serious rage issues. The magazine also reports that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are in "panic mode" after losing their main sources of income, taping The Hills. (Spencer was booted for threatening a producer, and Heidi seemed to have issues with a storyline planned for this season and saw her role reduced.)

Meanwhile, on this week's episode of The Hills, Spencer had a violent outburst, screaming at Heidi's sister Holly after Holly confronted over comments he made calling the sister's mother "just a vagina."

Heidi Montag's New Face Struggles to Eat Burger

On The Hills' sixth season premiere Tuesday, Heidi Montag's family grills her about undergoing 10 plastic surgery operations in one day.

Her sister Holly tells her she was shocked Heidi, 23, got all the work done because she always had "confidence ... I don't know what happened."

Heidi, 23, says she just "wanted to be happier."

The real fun starts when Heidi makes her best attempt at eating a burger.

Cameras Follow Heidi to Colorado to Face Mom

After keeping her family in the dark about getting 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, Heidi Montag is finally heading home to Crested Butte, Colo., to confront her mom and reveal what she calls, “the new me.”

And camera crews for MTV’s The Hills are recording it all.

Montag — still in bandages she has to wear for portions of the day while her recovery continues — boarded a private jet bound for Colorado early Wednesday with her sister Holly.

The Hills star recently told PEOPLE her mom, Darlene Egelhoff, was horrified by the surgeries. “I still can’t believe I’m 23 and mom is reacting this way,” Montag said.

Despite conflicting reports that her mom was actually supportive of the surgeries, Montag told PEOPLE her mother didn’t know the extent of the procedures and only talked to her daughter after they were completed. At that point, her tune changed dramatically and Egelhoff became eager to confront Montag about going under the knife.

Darlene Horrified Over Her Daguhters Surgeries

Nine weeks after her dramatic transformation, Heidi Montag is dealing with the horrified reaction of her mom, Darlene Egelhoff.  "I still can't believe I'm 23 and mom is reacting this way," Montag tells PEOPLE. "I'm nervous to go home and face her – especially with cameras rolling."

A source close to the family tells PEOPLE that Egelhoff "is horrified and having a total breakdown. She can't wait to confront Heidi when she goes home."

Montag's mom, who lives in Colorado where the reality star grew up, will get her wish soon. "Heidi is planning to head back to her small town of Crested Butte very soon," says the source.  And Hills fans will get to see the drama play out next season on the MTV hit, as cameras will catch every moment.
