Blake Lively: The New Face Of Chanel Handbags

Gossip Girl beauty Blake Lively has apparently been handpicked by Karl Lagerfield to front Chanel's new handbag campaign, following in the footsteps of Lily Allen, Diane Kruger and Nicole Kidman.

After months of speculation, the 23-year-old actress is set to appear in a new advertising campaign for the mega-brand's highly sought-after Mademoiselle handbag line.

According to reports, Lagerfield shot the starlet himself on the iconic staircase in Coco Chanel's Rue de Cambon studio in Paris.

And if that wasn't enough to make Blake feel like THE golden girl of the moment, then news that he described her as "a kind of American dream girl" sure will.

"[The shoot] was an easy job because everyone fell in love with her," he said.

Stephanie Pratt: I'm A 'Nerd' Who 'Likes To Work'

Stephanie Pratt is certainly busy these days now that "The Hills" is over and she's busy hard at work on her handbag line. So, although we spent several seasons watching her and her pals hit the party scene on the show, she admits she's actually kind of a homebody.

"I think it'd be surprising to know that I would rather stay inside than go out," she told MTV News. "I like going to a nice dinner with friends and watching a movie and literally falling asleep."

You see, this Pratt is kind of over partying. "I'm like exhausted! I've been going out since I was 17, so I really don't like the club scene in L.A. very much anymore," she said. "I think people would be surprised to learn I'm kind of a nerd and I like to work."

"The handbag line is coming out this fall and then in September I can't wait to come back for fashion week and then September, October is when I start designing the spring collection."

Stephanie Pratt: Expanding Her Handbag Line

Stephanie Pratt recently decided to spend her post-"Hills" time in New York City which had some fans wondering if she was joining the cast of "The City." She confirmed that rumor false.

"Well, I'm here in New York pretty much vacationing and then I've just been meeting with designers and presidents of different fashion houses," she said about the once-titled Monroe handbag line. "Literally this week has been the best dream come true for anyone who is so in love with this world, but the fashion line, the handbag line is coming out this fall and then in September I can't wait to come back for fashion week and then September, October is when I start designing the spring collection."

But, Stephanie isn’t settling on catering to only ladies. She adds, "And I'm designing belts for men!"
