Whitney's Blog: Adidas Originals Lookbook

Hi everyone,
I had so much fun doing the shoot for the adidas Originals "Celebrating Originality On The Streets" campaign and I'm truly flattered that I was chosen to take part in it.

For this year's Women's Lookbook, adidas Orignals handed the camera over to the models and allowed us to document each other.  It was such a unique experience -- I loved it!  How amazing are these sneakers?!?

Go to the adidas website to take a closer look.

Whitney's Blog: An Amazing Zoo Experience

Hi my dears!

Paigey and I have been having the best time in Australia. As soon as we got off the plane the first thing we did was go to the zoo. We had heard all about Shuffles, the baby elephant that was born just one week ago and so we were dying to see him. He was the cutest thing ever.

Supposedly everyone thought he would be a still-born but he came out healthy and as alive as ever! We stood there looking at him for probably 15-20 minutes.

We saw so many other amazing animals too, lions, ostriches, zebras, komodo dragons, koalas and huuuuge turtles! It was one of the coolest experiences. I can't remember the last time I went to the zoo!

Whitney's Blog: Kissing Strangers at In-N-Out

Hi my friends!
Okay, last post from the scavenger hunt! Then you'll never hear another word about it! I felt this was the ultimate best picture and needed to wait as long as I could before I shared it with you all! One of the tasks on the list was to Kiss a Stranger.  If you kissed them on the cheek you got 10 points, but if you went all out and kissed them on the lips you would get 15 points! There was no way that we were going to let anyone beat us by those 5 points so I stepped up to the plate!!! After we had no luck at In-N-Out trying to work the drive-thru window, I met my match! I am not sure even what his name was, but whoever you are, thank you!!!

Whitney's Blog: Being Silly with Face Paint

Hi guys!
I was looking through old pictures recently and found this one taken at my brother's Bar Mitzvah of me, my younger sister Paige (right), and a friend. From what I remember I think he had a Clue-type murder mystery game that people were playing at the party, so I'm pretty sure that this woman was one of the characters involved. I think I was about 7 years old in this picture. How funny are our airbrushed faces?!?! And that thing around my neck definitely was one of her props!

Whitney's Blog: LG Lotus Phone Event in Vegas

Hey lovies,
Last night I co-hosted a launch party with Brooke Shields for the new LG Lotus phone. It was on the top floor of the Palms Place in the Maloof Brother's private penthouse! It was so great to have my family there with me. My cousin Jackie lives in Las Vegas and is a professional hairstylist so of course I had her style my hair for the event. My dress was vintage white silk and lace so we decided to go with a retro look! If you are ever in Vegas or even live there and need your hair styled, cut, highlighted, etc. Jackie is the person for the job!!! To contact Jackie email her at jacksterb72@yahoo.com. Enjoy the pics!

What do you think?
I love it!
I hate it!
It's alright...

Whitney Port's Blog: Winter Essentials

Hi dearies!
I have spent the last few weeks in LA and am back in NY now. We are so spoiled on the west coast with 70 degree weather in January! so crazy, but I love it. Now that I am back in NY I realize that the winter really does exist! I made a list of my winter essentials, but am fairly new to this. Any suggestions for me?

1. Cashmere accesories: socks, scarves, hats
2. Fingerless gloves- so you can still be productive while staying warm
3. Stockings/tights under everything
4. Ear muffs if you don't want to wear a hat and mess with your hair
5. Layer tops- start with tanks, then long sleeve, then sweater, then thick down jacket!

Whitney Port's Blog: New Year's Resolutions!

Hi and a very very very HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!! It's officially 2010 and time to start living up to those resolutions! As mama always says, actions speak louder than words. I have quite a few resolutions actually and need to get them off my chest so that someone can hold me responsible for them!!

1. Show how much I care and love about those at home by keeping better in touch
2. Join a Book Club
3. Not be such a flake (I only flake because I'm such a homebody, it's never personal)

What are some of yours? We can all learn from each other how to be the best versions of ourselves!

Whitney's Blog: Arts & Crafts with Ash :)

Hi guys!
Over the weekend my sister Ashley came over to work on her birthday invitations. She and her husband's birthdays are only three days apart so this year for their combined 60th birthday (Ash is turning 28, Evan is turning 32) hahaha, they are planning a Scavenger hunt. I was her right hand man and addressed all the envelopes. I mean what's better than homemade invitations these days!? I am so excited for the party. I already chose my scavenger hunt partner! My family is splitting up into teams of two and already we are all getting soooo competitive! Paige and I better win! In a few weeks after the party I will post some pics and tell you how we did!

Whitney Port's Blog: Christmas Pics :)

Hey dearies!
I hope those who celebrate had a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of love! Although my family is Jewish we use the holiday as a time to get everyone together. This year we started a new tradition and had Fajita Fiesta night at my house. It was so nice to have my whole family and my brother in law's family together! A few of my friends came for dinner and dessert. What did you all do for Christmas?

Whitney's Blog: Port Kids' Night Out

Hi guys!
I am back in LA now for the holidays and was so excited when I got off the plane to feel the warm air! I could not believe that it was a 50 degree difference between the coasts! I even got to wear shorts on Saturday!!! The Port kids had a night on the town and Paigey, as always, was sure to document it all... until her camera died! Bad planning Paigey! Here are a few pics of me, Paigey, Ash, Ev, and Ryan!

Whitney's Blog: TGIF

I am soooo excited to go home and be with my family and friends for the holidays. I am so appreciative for everything in my life but it is really hard when my entire family is across the country.

In a moment of loneliness I started looking through my iPhoto and found these cute pictures from my family vacation this summer! My siblings and I always joke and say that my parents tend to match. After being married for so many years, I guess they now think alike. Well in this case it turned out that the ENTIRE family dressed like twins!!! Grey was the color of the night, haha!
Here are some pics of me with Ash, Paigey, Jadey, Evan (Ashley's hubby), and my mom and dad!

xoxo,
Whit
