Lauren Conrad Talks Fame In Women's Health

Lauren Conrad had to purge some of her insecurities, in exchange for some new ones on her road to success, in this month's edition of Women's Health.

One of those purges first off is how Lauren had to present herself in public, she had to stop twirling her hair because it made her look like an airhead.

Plus, Lauren had to practice her red carpet stance at home in the mirror, so she can look her best at award shows, media events, and movie premieres.

A big to do on Lauren's list of insecurities is facing her critics, or what other people thought of her, as Lauren explains that she cares about what other people think.

However, one of Lauren's friends sat her down asking why she cared about other people's opinions, and Lauren deals with this by having a tatoo saying, "Sticks and Stones".

Lauren also explains that she developed a thick-skin quickly, courtesy of The Hills, and Hollywood, because good friends are hard to find, and Lauren's always being judged, but Lauren uses her previous retail experience and climb up the fashion ladder to keep with the pressure of it all.

Yes, there's an exchange we all must do when transitioning from private life the the face of the public eye, but we don't have to give up everything in order to fit another's image.

Most of the time, it's people wanting you to change because they're not comfortable with themselves, or just want to stick to what they know.

On the other hand, people ask those rising stars like Lauren Conrad to change because it keeps those people on top, and stars like Lauren Conrad down, while others and so-called friends pass by her.

As Lauren's fame rose substantially in 2007, Lauren was getting offers like modeling a runway show for Marc Jacobs, so veterans got extremely mad, in this reporter's opinion.

Lauren is being judged because she got to where she is faster than others, so those angry slavers and veterans become sharks, and are on a mission to destroy anything Lauren Conrad.

Lauren Conrad should stay the course of her goals and dreams, and start going older audiences to give Vera Wang a run for her money, as well as Lauren's young and growing audience.

Olivia puts her job on the line when she fails to interview Marc Jacobs backstage as promised and then has Louise step in for her when she's late to the Badgley Mischka show. Meanwhile, Roxy impresses Kelly at work when she helps run a fashion show and Whitney pursues new business opportunities with Maybelline, who is interested in showing her line at Miami Fashion Week.

Roxy's nerves are on edge when assigns her to help run a fashion and threatens to fire her if she messes it up.

Whitney listens to Kelly's fashion show etiquette advice and agrees to go for inspiration.

Olivia promises Joe she can get a backstage interview with Marc Jacobs at his show. At the same meeting, Erin suggest using Louise Roe as an ELLE.com contributor, in front of Olivia. 

Whitney attends the Charlotte Ronson show with Samantha but the girls are distracted when they see Louise - who is rumored to be Freddie Fackelmayer's (Whitney's ex) girlfriend. Whitney and Samantha meet Louise back stage and confirm she used to date Freddie.

Whitney meets with Maybelline and the cosmetics giant suggests a possible joint fashion show in Miami.

Joe and Olivia attend the Marc Jacobs show where Joe puts the pressure on Olivia to deliver an interview.

Erin and Joe run in to Louise at the David Delfin show Roxy is putting on.

As the show starts, Kelly tells Roxy it's not the time to be scared, but to have courage.

Olivia goes back stage at Marc Jacobs but doesn't bring her camera crew with her.

Joe and Erin aren't pleased when Olivia is late to the Badgley Mischka show after failing to interview Marc Jacobs.

With Olivia a no-show, Joe asks Louise to pinch hit for ELLE.com and interview Badgley Mischka in her place.

Louise is a hit, and the camera loves her, as do Joe and Erin.

Olivia shows up late (she overslept) and watches Louise shine from the sidelines.

Kelly congratulates Roxy on a job well done and tells Whitney that Maybelline selected Whitney Eve to show at Miami Fashion Week.

Roxy and Whitney are elated to hear the news but are surprised to hear Kelly won't be going with them.

Erin meets with ELLE's Editor-In-Chief, Robbie Myers, to tell her about Olivia's Marc Jacobs debacle and push Louise as a replacement.

Robbie seems to be on board with Erin's plan and promises to "make a call."

Olivia Palermo Does London Fashion Week

She’s well known for her love of fashion, so it’s no surprise to see Olivia Palermo at the Unique show during London Fashion Week in England on Saturday (February 20).

As per the usual, “The City” star looked uber-trendy as she posed for pictures by her front row seat at the TopShop venue.

Earlier in the week, Ms Palermo attended the Marc by Marc Jacobs show alongside her Elle magazine boss, Joe Zee.

A few weeks ago, Olivia showed off her own modeling skills as she strutted her stuff at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Haiti NYC 2010 Fashion Show.

What else can't she leave home without?

"Sunglasses," she says, holding up her $60 pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs shades. "I'm from L.A.!"

The star also packs dozens of lip glosses and mini perfume bottles by Jacobs and Stella McCartney because "you never know what boy you're going to meet" and you "have to smell good."

Pratt doesn't just love her carry-alls. She personally designed three of the purses she wears on the upcoming season of The Hills. To check them out, tune into the hit MTV reality series, which premieres on Tuesday.
