We already knew Lindsay Lohan was thinking of ditching her Betty Ford security team, and now we can report that the 24-year-old actress has gone ahead and fired them.
A source close to Lindsay tells X17online exclusively that the starlet terminated the security team at Betty Ford in Rancho Mirage, California and she will now be employing a private firm to escort her around. Lindsay told her pal that Betty Ford's security are "lazy and not qualified" and she just doesn't want to get ripped off, as she was paying extra for it.
So what's next for Lindsay? Her pal reveals that she might extend her stay at Betty Ford, so it looks like she's taking her recovery seriously!

Watch out world ... Lindsay Lohan is finally back behind the wheel of a car.
TMZ has obtained the first photos of Lindsay's big return to the driver's seat -- taken yesterday in Rancho Mirage, CA.
Sources close to Lilo tell us the car doesn't belong to her -- we're told she's using the BMW as a rental while the Mercedes her father gave her is being fixed up in the shop.
As we first reported, Betty Ford was reluctant to let Lindsay drive at all -- because they thought paparazzi would follow her ... creating a dangerous driving environment.
But now -- she's free to drive as much as she wants ... as long as she's sober.

Back in the swing of treatment life, Lindsay Lohan resumed her recovery routine heading to rehab studies in Rancho Mirage, California on Friday (November 26).

Lindsay Lohan Can't Go Home For The Holidays

The currently rehabbing actress is being forced to spend the holiday in treatment instead of with her family on Long Island."As of now she's not coming home," a family source exclusively tells E! Lindsay has been awarded day passes away from her Betty Ford-supervised home in Rancho Mirage for good behavior, visiting her West Hollywood condo and doing a photo shoot for a clothing line. She's even made amends with her father, Michael, who has been paying visits to her. But it is unlikely she will be spending the holiday with him, either, according to the source.
Per a court order, Lohan must remain in treatment until Jan. 3, and is not permitted to leave the state without permission from the judge.

Lindsay Lohan Nabbed Trying To Flee Rehab
Lindsay Lohan was caught trying to escape the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, earlier this week, Radar Online is exclusively reporting.But all Lohan, 24, desperately wanted to score was a coke fix -- of the cola variety!
In a tale so bizarre it is almost unbelievable, Radar Online has confirmed the Hollywood wild child attempted to flee the Betty Ford grounds to sneak into the nearby Eisenhower Medical Center, in a bid to buy a soda from a vending machine.
Lohan's rouse was almost pulled off if it wasn't for her accomplice, another patient, whose clothing got caught on the fence.
"Lindsay and her co-conspirator were forced to give it up and flag down a volunteer, who was crossing the center's grounds on a golf cart," a source, with knowlegde of the situation, told Radar Online.
"The pair was safely returned, decaffeinated, to their hall, were they were the center of a process meeting over what they had done."
There is no soda dispenser at the clinic where luxuries, such as caffeine and television, are strictly prohibited.
As Radar Online first revealed, Lohan is being treated for a far more serious coke addiction.
The troubled star, who has been to rehab five times and was jailed three times for cocaine related incidents, had previously played down the extent of her drug abuse.
But when Lohan registered a dirty result for cocaine after a court-mandated test while on probation, last month, the actress declared, "Substance abuse is a disease which doesn't go away overnight."

Doing what she can to mend her troubled ways, Lindsay Lohan was spotted enjoying a cup of coffee and a cigarette at the Betty Ford Center with fellow patients and security staff in Rancho Mirage, California on Thursday (September 30).
The sighting comes after the 24-year-old voluntarily checked herself into the treatment facility on Monday (September 27) for a fifth go at alcohol and drug rehabilitation.
